Blather - 2016

Blather is a wired fabric sculpture that depicts two large loud-mouthed women talking on old children’s toy telephones standing waist-high on a round upholstered platform that rotates. Their bodies are morphing into each other, intertwining to reflect an endless cycle of grudges, gossip, and toxic Blather these hags (and many others) thrive on.  Blather is made from cut-worked textiles (t-shirts, upholstery samples, & leather) in colors of red, blue, white, and black.
