Anastasia

Anastasia is my take on Greek marble sculpture.  She is made using the cut-worked technique out of drapery sheer samples that have been cut, sewn, and then painted with a glue solution that stiffens the work.  The entire piece is wired and is attached to a vintage lamp base.  The sculpture’s support that holds the piece to the base is a heating duct that has been cut and painted black.  Anastasia’s hair is wired lace and black suede.
